Paddy McGurgan started within the industry training with brands such as; MAC, Laura Mercier, Stila, Nars , Chantecaille, Becca, Stephan Marias to name but a few, proceeding then to become a freelance make up artist, with clients such as Mischa Barton, The Saturdays, Girls Aloud and Yasmin Le bon building his skill talent and ability further.
Paddy has previously been awarded Winner of European Creative Make-up Artist of the Year and Winner in the Professional Category of Illamasqua Distinction of Make up Artistry.
As well as this, Paddy’s flair for high fashion and editorial make up has remained strong and he has worked at London and Paris Fashion week as well as several high profile events such as the MTV Awards and prestigious Events such as the alternative hair show in London.
After many years of freelance make up artistry, Paddy fulfilled one of his dreams by opening his own make up store with niche exclusive Professional artist brands such as Make Up For Ever, Ben Nye, OCC, Lime Crime and Zoeva simply for the make-up artist community and general consumer with massive success and opened his second and third store despite the ever looming recession. Never one to concentrate on just one project Paddy also became the UK Ambassador and Distributor for professional make up brand Make-Up Studio Professional Make Up and has launched this brand into the UK to raving reviews. Paddy firmly believes in constant training and upskilling as a make up artist to ensure his team and him are ahead of the curve on current and future trends. So he holds both short and long term courses to accommodate the masses of professional make up artists and their training needs.
Paddy has featured in several UK and international fashion and Make Up magazines and has had work published in New York based ‘Institute Magazine’ and has appeared on stage at IMATS London several times as an educator. Paddy is going from strength to strength and continues to remain one of the most distinguished and recognisable Make up Artist’s in the international make up industry.
